This year’s Winter Court of Honor was held on February 25, 2019 in the Parish Hall at Immaculate Conception Church. Owen M. and Bo P. were our master’s of ceremonies, filling requirements towards their Communications merit badge along the way.
The evening opened up with the presentation of colors, pledge led by our senior patrol leader, Nate N. and opening prayer by our chaplain’s aid, Phil L.
“The purpose of a Court of Honor is to periodically recognize the achievement of rank advancement and Merit Badges, and to share what our Troop has been doing,” explained Owen. “We don’t know exactly how many Courts of Honors our Troop has held since we began in 1955, but if we’ve held 3 per year since our first Court of Honor in the Winter of 1956, this would be Troop 200’s 190th Court of Honor. “
Bo then asked Nick C. and Rusty G. to lead the Scout Law ceremony. Troop 200 Scoutmaster, Mr. Marosy then handed out the merit badges. Here is a list of the badges earned.
